1933 – The Birth of High-Pressure Brewing at Aequator
Founded by Alfred Meyer, the company focused from the outset on high-pressure brewing technology – laying the foundation for its later specialisation in precise, durable systems renowned for Swiss quality.


1970 – The First Fully Automatic Coffee Machine
The development of Aequator’s first fully automatic coffee machine marked the company’s entry into the market for automated coffee preparation. It combined traditional brewing technology with modern mechanics, placing greater emphasis on efficiency, consistency, and ease of operation.
2002 – Integration of Instant Technology
By developing coffee machines with additional powder containers, freshly brewed coffee was combined with instant technology – significantly expanding the beverage range for our customers, a concept that continues to be successfully applied in today’s modern models.


2005 – Entry into the Private-Label Business
With its entry into the private-label business, Aequator began developing and producing customised machines for its partners. This business area strengthened the company’s innovative capacity and opened up new international partnerships.
2023 – The Fully Modular Coffee Machine with integrated Milk System
Innovative in both concept and design, a fully modular coffee machine featuring a modern touchscreen and integrated milk system demonstrated how ease of maintenance, flexibility, and user convenience can be successfully combined.
